It’s good for you, good for others and good for the environment!
It’s as simple as that. By using only organic farming techniques to produce our ingredients, we’re helping to keep the beautiful African environment free from dangerous chemicals and pesticides. Not only that, organic means keeping you and our workers healthy. For instance, consider the following facts:
1 – The skin is the largest organ in the human body.
2 – The skin can absorb toxic chemicals and heavy metals such as lead.
3 – One chemical, hexachlorophene, an antibacterial used in soaps throughout the 1950s and 60s, was shown to cause brain damage and even death to babies through absorption into the skin.
4 – Approximately 70,000 chemicals are now in commercial production, many of which are used in household products such as soap. Many of these chemicals accumulate in the human body and can cause cancer and other diseases, yet most have been inadequately tested or remain completely untested for their safety. Do you know what is in your soap?
5 – According to the official FDA website, much “soap” on the market isn’t even legally allowed to be called soap! “The product you regard as soap may not be soap at all, but a synthetic detergent ‘beauty’ or ‘bath’ bar. These and similar names have been used by copywriters to spare the consumer the awful knowledge that she is not bathing herself with real soap, but with a synthetic detergent.”
In contrast with most store-bought “soap,” our soap is all-natural, with 98% of our ingredients organic. So, you know you’re in good hands. Even better, you’ll know that you’re helping to keep Africa and your body pure.
